This Chris Reed guy, writing for Cal Watchdog, makes some great points.
Gov. Jerry Brown’s announcement last week that he would push for big tax hikes on the November 2012 ballot guarantees we will soon see the re-emergence of a repellent narrative from the Democratic political establishment and its media wing. That narrative: Pundits and interest groups who oppose higher taxes are akin to “terrorists” and the politicians who agree with them are either also “terrorists” or terrorist “hostages.” The biggest of the many problems with this hysterical slander, however, is the evidence that the “terrorists” are doing what Californians want. It’s time to dig up the special election results of May 19, 2009, and to contemplate what they say about our state.
